Plot

The Spirit hizo su primer debut "oficial" en DC Comics en Batman and The Spirit #1. Aunque luchó junto a Batman contra un grupo de enemigos reconocibles, The Spirit y todo su elenco de apoyo existen independientemente del Universo DC convencional.

La continuidad de Central City de The Spirit no debe confundirse con la Central City del Universo DC convencional, la cual fue una vez la ciudad natal de Barry Allen, el segundo Flash.

Norma editorial recopila parte del Vol.1 de The Spirit luego de que DC Comics comprara los derechos del personaje.
