About this edition

Seven variants plus five proof set books

Plot

The original, early issues of Cerebus were printed on thin newsprint paper and decades later, most of the few surviving examples are found in lower grades. This new edition of Cerebus No. 2 comes complete with the original introduction and advertisements, presented with painstakingly remastered, art and printed on premium archival paper! Early Cerebus has never looked so good!

In addition to the original content, this expanded edition contains an additional 24 pages of rarities including the thumbnails for a previously unpublished 6-page Cerebus story from 1978 titled, "ANATOLE'S SOLECISM." This version of the story features Sim's original pencil breakdowns and finished lettering, with the unfinished art offering a rare glimpse into Sim's creative process in the early days of Cerebus. This edition also features the rare 5-page Sim story from the mid 1970's "SALTY NIGHT'S DRINK" including lengthy captions by Sim describing the creation of both stories.
