In a futuristic space colony, Ranklechick invents absurd devices like the Bliss Extractor, obsessed with contacting the ghost of his dead mother. Ranklechick flees from handshaking lessons, avoids being made into candy, and activates his Sphere of Belligerence, a spaceship drive that literally insults physics.
