Plot

Shockwave was a short-lived British DC Comics reprint title published by London Editions Magazines between February and May 1991 (four monthly issues). A follow-up to the failed Zones and DC Action titles, it was aimed at an adult readership and featured American material including Grant Morrison's Animal Man (in the first two issues; this strip was continued from DC Action #6), Neil Gaiman's Black Orchid, Hellblazer starring John Constantine and (in issues #3 and #4) the opening chapters of Catwoman: Year One. The magazine was originally to be called Shadows, a title which appeared in early solicits.
