Plot
Plastered with warnings as to the disturbing material within, one might be expecting a treat. Instead the pages of this horror title are filled with poorly rendered, but explicitly gruesome scenes amid generally unimaginative and predictable stories. Fans might want to pick up very early (and not very good) work by Greg Capullo in #1-3, but the only real saving grace of this tawdry title is the consistently high quality of the accompanying articles. Issue #5 alone contains Archie Goodwin reminiscing about the birth of Warren Comics and the start of Tom Veitch’s recollections of horror stories in Underground comics—continuing in #6—which also has Jack Butterworth’s memories of Warren.
