Plot
Combat is a two-issue series from Brian Witten and Cy Voris, loaded with action, adventure, and tons of inside jokes and references for Image fans. The series starts off when an alien ship crashes down in the middle of nowhere. A pair of locals, Ma and Pa Clarke (hmm…that sounds familiar…) were the only ones to witness the crash. When they investigated, they discovered a baby, the answer to their dreams. Unlike baby Superman, however, this kid almost immediately turned into a huge, alien monster whose touch infected the Clarkes with a virus, turning them into monsters.
The government had also noticed the alien landing, and sent two FBI agents to enlist the help of the alien warrior Combat to investigate. In doing so, Combat, a native of the planet Katella (a name taken from Image Comics’ street address) discovers that the great evil of Katellan legend has come to threaten Earth.
