Classic Beano and Dandy

Plot

Originally called The Dandy and The Beano: Golden Years, this series launched in 1987 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Beano and The Dandy (in July 1988 and December 1987 respectively). With the 60th anniversary, the series title changed to Beano and Dandy: 60 Years and then in 2007 it changed to Beano and Dandy: 70 Years. In 2009 they finally made the name independent of any milestone, with the series being retitled Classic Beano and Dandy. There has been a new issue every year except 1988. Most issues only feature Beano and Dandy characters, but some include guests from other comics: Beezer, Topper, Nutty, Plug, Magic, Sparky, Victor, Bunty, Twinkle, and/or their annuals and summer specials have featured.
