Una extraña mezcla de Conan, el Jabato y el Príncipe Valiente, Katán es una serie de aventuras vertiginosas que nos llevan ante indios piel rojas, piratas vikingos, hombres mono acorazados o sediciones palaciegas, con el protagonista, su fiel Obelix, perdón Odilón, Betún y la hermosa Aringa. Todo funciona, menos el final, en el que parece que los últimos dos o tres cuadernillos se resuelven a toda prisa... dejándonos sin saber el misterio del origen de Katán.
