DC Special Series was a catch-all series primarily for one-shots of different size formats, such as "Dollar Comics," giant-size "Spectaculars," digests and tabloid "Treasury Editions." It was published on an irregular schedule from 1977 to 1981. Most issues featured new material except for The Original Swamp Thing Saga reprint run and a few others.
