Doomlord es un personaje creado por John Wagner y Alan Grant para la revista británica Eagle. Las primeras aventuras de Doomlord eran en formato fotonovela, pero debido a los costes de producción se pasó al formato de historieta de comic. El dibujo es de Heinzl, seudónimo de Alberto Giolitti, artista italiano qué trabajó para varias editoriales como Western/Dell (Cisco Kid, Turok), Gold Key (Star Trek, Tarzán of the Apes) o Bonelli (Tex) entre muchas otras. Esta revista de 72 páginas en blanco y negro, recopila una sinopsis de las fotonovelas y la primera historia en comic del personaje publicada en 1983. Los guiones de Wagner y Grant exudan ciencia ficción, acción y ese humor sarcástico típico de ambos escritores. El arte de Heinzl es de lo mejorcito qué le he visto hacer, muy superior en detalle y composición a su trabajo en Star Trek durante los años 60. Si eres fan de Wagner y Grant y te gustan los cómics británicos de los 70/80, no lo dudes y cómpralo, no te defraudará.
