No le pongo 5 estrellas porque creo que Alan Moore no logra unir satisfactoriamente sus historias con las de Mick Anglo -este soft reboot que se marca es la opción más insatisfactoria- y porque el bardo abusa de la violación como recurso narrativo (en una página aparece EN DOS OCASIONES). Una pena porque por lo demás es una fantástica obra sobre la corrupción que conlleva la busqueda de poder y el poder en sí mismo y la alienación que supone. Parte además de la base del Capitán Marvel (Shazam) y su transmutación de cuerpos para reflexionar profundamente sobre la identidad y preguntar si Moran y Miracleman son la misma persona sin responder nunca del todo. Es, asimismo, una mirada fascinante a la progresión de Moore como escritor habiendo sido escrita entre 1984 y 1987, lo que hace que cada parte de la obra sea mejor que la anterior. Un in crescendo que alcanza su zenit en el tercer libro, Olimpo, ilustrado magnificamente por John Totleben.
