"Sea of Matrimony," Stern is supposed to go undercover, pretending to be married and being killed, so that a scam targeting young rich widows can be exposed; However, things go wrong from the start, with their boat running aground; After being rescued, a publicity stunt of being married underwater is ruined by bad weather. Reprints the debut adventure of Stern Wheeler, originally published in the Connecticut based newspaper The Hartford Times. Note: the second and last adventure was supposed to be reprinted in #2, but the follow-up issue was never published, even though there is an ad for it in this issue.
