Plot

Part of the Jim Shooter Defiant imprint, Grimmax is similar to many of the Shooter heroes. Created on a world called Plasm, where life is cheap and sports are lethal, star athlete Grimmax is now on earth, home of individuality and recreation. Now Grimmax can be a force for good instead of death. Along the way, maybe he can master the mysteries of New York City.

With art from comics veteran Dave Cockrum (X-Men) and scripts from Shooter (Solar, Legion of Super-Heroes), Grimmax is perhaps most simply suggestive of other “fish-out-of-water” stories, but with better talent at the helm.
