Sátira del intervencionismo, de las guerras de religión y de la intolerancia entre cultos y culturas, la irreverencia de James Stokoe supura por cada página, cada detalle de la vegetación, cada grito, golpe y ronquido. Sobek no es nada de lo que cabría esperar (si no conociéramos a su autor) y satisface plenamente por eso mismo: una píldora de apenas 32 páginas que epata primero, sorprende después y desencaja la mandíbula a carcajadas finalmente, con un deje reflexivo como epílogo.
