Bastante divertido. Magia, salvajismo y ciencia ficción se dan la mano en esta serie de Pat Mills protagonizada por el mercenario Slaine, miembro de la tribu de los Sessair, y su enano Ukko. El mundo que crea Mills es muy interesante y los dibujos de Belardinelli y McMahon ayudan a acentuar esa atmósfera de barbarie y salvajismo. Pero, tratándose de Pat Mills el cómic también tiene sus momentos en los que critica al establishment (todo lo que puede tratandose de una obra ambientada en el período pre romano). No es casualidad, por ejemplo, que la mayoría de villanos sean miembros de la clase gobernante. Tampoco es casualidad que Slaine sea, en el fondo, un anarquista amante de la libertad.
