Plot

Introduced during "Sandman: Season of Mists", when Death was bound and ghosts walked the Earth, the Dead Boy Detectives are Charles Rowland and Edwin Paine - deceased! When the bodies of homeless children begin washing up on the banks of the Thames, Charles and Edwin resolve to investigate. As ghosts, only other children can see them - but it doesn't mean they're not in danger, as encounters with Hob Gadling, the man who refused to die, and the two-hundred-year-old witch Mad Hettie will reveal...!
