Muy buen tomo recopilatorio enfocado en el Superman pre crisis (excepto la última historia que es de Byrne). Aquí tenemos algunas de las historias más significativas de Superman y podemos ver qué representa el personaje en su vertiente más clásica. Si hay algo que sobre sale tras toda la aventura es la soledad que desprende el personaje. El Superman clásico siempre se siente más alienigena que humano, atrapado en un mundo que lo constriñe constantemente y con los recuerdos de su mundo natal que lo atormentan. Se nota que Alan Moore devoró muchas de las historias de este tomo en su juventud porque luego repropuso sus ideas y temas cuando tuvo la oportunidad de guionizar al personaje. A nivel más especifico, mi historia favorita del tomo (exceptuando la de Moore) es la de Superboy y Bizarro, una genialidad de Otto Binder.
