This was beautiful. This era of comics, when they first started experimenting with fine art styles to tell stories is usually a hit or miss with me. And while this issue definitely has some misses, some of the art looks cheap, some of the story is heavy handed, but some of the art is breathtaking, and the story rings true to anyone who has struggled with addiction and looked to heroes for support. When I struggle with my addiction, as I am now, I turn to Sub-Mariner and Aquaman, Spidey and Superboy, Bats and Cap, Supes and Hulk, Dick and Babs, Jason and Tim, Ben, Marc and Marc and Marc, Spirit, Spectre, Speedball, and the Shadow. The hunger and struggle are always there, but so are the Heroes.
