Gran historia y gran dibujo para un tomo que justifica la visión que tiene el Dr. Zaius de Taylor en la primera película. Aun así, Zaius no es realmente el protagonista, solo ocupa una de las subtramas. Como protagonista tenemos al General Aleron y al humano Tern, el primero humano en aprender lenguaje de signos, motivo suficiente para que algunos de los simios más conservadores pongan toda su maquinaria en movimiento.
