Mostly, an array of contemporary artists laud Vampi with their graphic conception of the IC❤️N herself. Illustrations vary from realistic to cartoony. Since this ArtBook is focused on 90s visual style onwards (Harris Publications/DYNAMITE), the Warren Era was only remarked in a prefatory (working as origin/contextual intro) to that character's ulterior development. Wherefore Dave Stevens' Cover exemplifies what to find once you crack this HC open: some fine creators modernize her looks, whilst others shape sort of a sexy (but not sassy) attitude regarding our Blood Sucking, Cult Favorite Anti-Hero. I truly dig the works of Texeira, Hughes, Bolton, Finch, Mayhew... And Jusko (outstanding pinups and remarkable interview). On the written side, Busiek's article exposes an appropriate, classic background thru his personal recap on Vampirella. Includes one short Templeton+Timm issue. Summarizing, a compilation whose powerful imagery would frankly delight every die-hard fan of The Immortal 🦇
