El genero negro en su faceta mas orgánica. Cada capitulo es una historia que se va enredando con otra poniendo en foco cada uno de los personajes, y dejando algunas cosas ocultas que se revelan en capitulos posteriores. Muestran como en un pueblo del interior de USA a lo largo de los 70/80s la droga y la violencia se van apoderando del lugar. Ficción dentro de la ficción (Amy Racecar) y una muy lograda caracterización de los personajes, mas reales que la realidad. Con respecto al apartado gráfico sin ser excelente tampoco defrauda, y número a número mejora, usando el blanco y negro que tan bien le queda al genero noir.
