Seeing Garth as a fish get bit in half by a barracuda and him and Arthur becoming digested in the acids of its stomach has to be one of the most intense moments I’ve ever seen in a superhero comic. The art really took over this issue, the Atlantis sections specifically are beautifully detailed and weird. Don’t like Garth’s characterization here, but what IS Garth’s character? Huh. Not sure. Always like him, but what’s his defining character trait? I’m not sure.
