Antologia de seis relatos breves autoconclusivos, de atmósfera "pulp". La primera es una historia de orígenes, llevada a cabo por el creador del personaje, Michael Chabon. Le siguen firmas invitadas de renombre, así encontramos a un correcto Starlin (abordando su temática relativa al amor y la muerte), un McCarthy firmando tres historias de registros diferentes (una dibujada por el siempre interesante Kyle Baker) y un Chaykin que flojea un tanto.
