After three very well-planned issues, Ra's al Ghul is finally introduced as the grand leader of the League of Assassins and Talia's father. I love how Denny O'Neil carefully developed these characters—Dr. Darrk, Talia, and Ra's—while simultaneously transforming Batman's world into something more global and mature. In this issue, we encounter a true 'Detective' Batman. It’s interesting to note that even though this saga began in Detective Comics, this pivotal chapter takes place in the main Batman title. While the detective work here might not be as complex as in other stories, the atmosphere and the introduction of such a legendary villain make it a joy to read. I highly recommend reading the full story arc starting from Detective Comics #405, #406, and #411 to get the full experience of the 'Demon's' arrival!
