El nivel de la serie no baja , a pesar del tiempo. Ahora que ya conocemos al personaje , toca saber su origen y el porqué dejó de ser Joya. En principio nos enteramos de su traumatica entrada en el mundo de los heroes, con , de nuevo, el recurso de utilizar un dibujante que no sea Gaydos. Normalmente utiliza a Mark Bagley, con el que ya trabajaba en Ultimate Spider-man. Es un acierto este cambio de estilo, enfatiza más el hecho de que Jessica vé esa epoca como algo irreal.
