Puede que algunas cosas te resulten familiares y otras totalmente nuevas en esta reinvención que nos traen Jonathan Hickman y Marco Checchetto enmarcada en el nuevo Universo Ultimate, pero lo que es fácil asegurar es que es el Spiderman que llevábamos años deseando en el Universo 616. Mientras que en el Universo "principal", Marvel ha optado siempre por eliminar cualquier avance en la vida de Peter y hacerle volver a su status quo, Hickman se atreve con una versión del personaje adulta del personaje, con una relación sana con MJ (la mejor versión del personaje en muchos años) y también mucho más madura. Cambiando solo algunas cosas, Hickman consigue volver a contarnos los inicios de Spidey de una manera realmente interesante, en un contexto muy rico, con nuevas versiones de viejos conocidos y con una moderna vuelta de tuerca a los conceptos de siempre.
