Una pelea curiosa donde, una vez más, Takei reescribe o inventa ciertas normas conforme se desarrolla el combate. Realmente el punto fuerte de este tomo es la evolución y la nueva dirección que encara Ren de aquí en adelante. En general todos los enfrentamientos, hasta este tomo, con los Tao refuerzan al personaje de Yoh y su influencia en los demás. Muy acertado explorar para bien una de las características más importantes de esta historia.
