La història compleix en aquest primer volum, però es fa repetitiva i una mica "pillada pels pels" per poder continuar on l'original "Lone Wolf and Cub" ho deixava per part del mateix Koike. A nivell artíxtic el nou dibuixant Hideki Mori fa un excel·lent homenatge a l'obra de Goseki Kojima i no el desmereix en cap aspecte.
