Pope Elvis Aaron IV is dead. John Emmett Fairbanks, Cardinal of the archdiocese of the L.A. Standard Entertainment and Recreational Unified Systems (LASERUS), wishes to be elected to that high office. There are two problems: a drug LASERUS has begun to distribute that could have fatal side effects, and the personification of LASERU's corporate symbol — Grendel! "The Devil is Ecclesiastical" is the prequel to a new extended Grendel story line. This issue contains adult themes and harsh language. Parental Guidance Suggested.
