This issue features Muttsy the Talking Dog, a spin-off of George Baker's Sad Sack featuring a loquacious canine. Muttsy gets exiled from the kitchen after he insults Cookie's beans and hash. Muttsy leads the other dogs on a raid to get the turkey the General is saving for a visiting senator. As a result, Sad Sack and Muttsy get assigned to a remote desert outpost.
