Plot

Rayek and crew are in the far future where the High Ones first appeared.

The Palace of The High-Ones, being composed of Soul Gems now rather than stone descends to the place and time which it had originally intended, 20,000 years after Cutter's time. Leetah steps out and realizes that her husband is probably dead.

Human civilization has progressed to the times of the renaissance, post dark ages. Embracing the possibility that Cutter is no longer alive, Leetah seeks consolance in Skywise, and Rayek discovers that Winnowill had suspended herself in a seabasin for time they had been parted.
