Love the over the top Kirby art and God writing. Cant believe I snagged the first appearance of one of my favorite and weirdest characters in DC : the Black Racer. DC wants you to take him so seriously, because he is death personified in the DCU, but….he’s got ski poles. The darkening of his costume has helped over the years, but it’s a real funny and great piece of DC that only comic book fans know and respect, so fuck you to all the hot girls who made fun of me in school and pretend to know about comic book stuff and say things like “oh my god I’m SUCH a nerd, I’ve seen all the marvel movies!”
