Plot

In the action-packed JSA: STEALING THUNDER, the world's original super-hero team loses one of their most beloved teammates in a costly campaign to save the world from an insane conqueror. Taking possession of Johnny Thunder, the body-jumping Ultra-Humanite uses the hero's all-powerful Thunderbolt to create a world in which he is the supreme ruler. With most of the super-heroes under the telepathic control of the sadistic villain, a substitute JSA team consisting of Sand, Power Girl, Jakeem Thunder, and new versions of Hourman and the Crimson Avenger, must battle against the mind controlled Superman and Wonder Woman. And as the situation worsens, Captain Marvel is forced to strike a deadly blow against the Ultra-Humanite that saves the day but ultimately results in the death of the possessed Johnny Thunder.
