Hace varios años se publicó una colección que narraba los años perdidos de la Patrulla X y el primer arco argumental de este Savage Hulk tiene exactamente el mismo aire. Alan Davis escribe y dibuja una historia no contada del coloso esmeralda que transcurre justo después del Uncanny X-Men #66, que por cierto, está incluido en el TPB. La historia me ha gustado bastante por el sabor añejo, y el dibujo de Davis que me pareció repetitivo y cansino en su última andadura en Wolverine, aquí luce mejor, ya que el ambiente retro le pega más.
