Plot

Mission commander Charlotte Hayden has departed the relative safety of the Clarke on a desperate mission to recover her kidnapped child. Her confrontation with the alien Builders will drastically alter the trajectory of the series. Meanwhile, President Blades does everything he can to make Earth a slightly better place for the world's billions during their last months alive.
