I mean, reading a street level superhero comic that references Jaws, the death of Superman, and The Jolly Green Giants son Sprout in one book? That’s a sell for me. Smiths writing occasionally comes off a little too silly, but I still love it. You can tell it comes from a place of “wow I’m writing a comic book!!!!” And I fucking love that.
