This is great comic book storytelling. Johns uses the form like storyboards in a film but instead of leaving the action in between panels its panel to panel….sequential art you say?! Yes. Well he does it in a way that feels different, more nuanced and slow, yet cinematic and exciting. Love this series, that panel of Bart holding the remote lives in my brain for all time.
