Un tomo ideal para lectores jóvenes, bastante jóvenes, puesto que nos trae una historia sencilla, con un punto de partida bastante inverosímil (Spidey y Venom compartiendo piso) pero que aquí funciona (no como Spidey y Boomerang compartiendo piso en la serie regular, que es un pestiño). La trama es casi de episodio de dibujos animados infantiles, con Venom que intercambia su cuerpo con Spidey para poder participar en un concurso de la tele (rollo Gladiadores Americanos) en el que no aceptan súper villanos. A partir de ahí, el típico problema de identidades falsas y equívocos de todo tipo.
