Honestly, some things here are better than canon. I really LOVED Beast. It's darker, more twisted, and more grotesque than canon, so it kinda drains your willingness to live (especially at the end) but...It's amazing. Akutagawa as the protagonist feels so right, so natural, I enjoyed reading about his journey a lot. I love him in canon, too, so maybe I'm biased, though. Atsushi, in his new role, made me feel so many things, my poor boy. Dazai and Chuuya broke my heart AGAIN. My girl Kyoka, let me put her in my pocket and protect her. No, honestly, I loved Beast a lot. A Must Read it if you are a Bungo fan. (Also, I hope this gets animated one day)
