por el otro lado scott, jean y kurt buscan al mutante de NY en un garito mientras son vigilados por el hellfire club y mente maestra se presenta alli para volver a persuadir a jean, consiguiendo esta vez que ella se sienta comoda con el y llevandosela a su terreno totalmente, ellos se besan y justo cuando jean vuelve en sí scott lo ha visto todo y no entiende quien es el y que ha hecho con jean. Desde chicago kitty quiere salvar al resto de los x-men y consigue usar sus poderes y llamar al teléfono del coche donde se encuentra kurt avisandole de todo lo ocurrido. Justo cuando jean queria hablar con scott y descubren que el mutante de NY es dazzler, el hellfire los ataca a los 3 y a kurt, finalmente derrotándolos gracias a jean y las poderosas habilidades de dazzler. Scott le habla a dazzler sobre su condición mutante y que será perseguida por el hecho de serlo, y ponen los 4 rumbo a chicago a salvar a los suyos mientras scott se queda pensando en quien es el tipo que ha besado a jean
