Plot

As Kirby leaves the group to pursue his next labour, Kevin and Joe find themselves beset by a familiar form of hobgoblin -- the Red Caps. Entrenched and outnumbered, the heroic pair must fight for their lives against the backdrop of a centuries-old graveyard. After the battle, a desperate interrogation of one of the bloodthirsty imps reveals what Kevin has feared all along -- these evil forces are answering the summons of an unknown entity, a voice that invites them to join in the mass destruction of all that lives in the mortal sphere of existence. In an effort to secure the force necessary for the battle ahead, Kevin searches out his wayward friend. But Kirby refuses to rejoin the team, insistent on maintaining his labourious quest. The argument leaves Kevin dejected and he returns to the apartment he shares with Wally and Joe, only to find the biggest surprise of all waiting for him there.
