Han pasado meses desde la muerte de jean y el grupo entrena, ororo es la nueva lider tras la marcha de scott, lobezno se ha pasado al traje marron y angel esta en baja forma tras todo este tiempo. Kitty, que ya es pupila de xavier, sigue teniendo miedo de kurt y va con ororo a hacer vida a la ciudad. Logan le comenta a xavier que irá con kurt a resolver sus problemas con canada. Alli se reune con heather y esta les cuenta donde se encuentran guardian y alpha flight. Logan y kurt se reunen en los bosques del norte con guardian, shaman y ave nevada quienes buscan al wendigo, a quien logan conoció cuando perseguía a hulk para el departamento H, y quien ataca a kurt cuando se separa del resto.
