In defiance of Batman, Jason Todd, the second Boy Wonder, embarks on a quest to find his mother, but meets the Joker... and his final fate!

Batman readers were allowed to vote on the outcome of the story and they decided that Robin should die! As the second person to assume the role of Batman's sidekick, Jason Todd had a completely different personality than the original Robin. Rash and prone to ignore Batman's instructions, Jason was always quick to act without regard to consequences. In this fatal instance, Robin ignores his mentor's warnings when he attempts to take on the Joker by himself and pays the ultimate price. Driven by anger with Superman by his side, Batman seeks his vengeance as he looks to end the Joker's threat forever.

¡Un clásico! Sí eres fan de Batman es de lectura obligada. Presenta la historia principal e incluye una segunda en la que se ve algo del origen de Dick Grayson, de su vida antes de hacer de Robin y también de Tim Drake, de cómo esté se integra a la batfamilia como nuevo Robin después del trágico suceso de Una muerte en la familia.

Una buena historia para los que aman las historias originales de Batman, además esta tiene un trasfondo histórico muy interesante donde los fans decidieron lo que pasaría al final del cómic. Me gustó mucho

Buena edición en cuanto al contenido, las dos sagas se complementan bien. Sin embargo, el tiempo no pasa en balde y "A Death in the Family" tiene momentos bastante difíciles de leer hoy en día. Asimismo, la saga intenta conjugar dos tramas (la de la madre de Jason y la del misil del Joker) que son como el agua y el aceite aunque el guionista se empeñe en intentar cruzarlas. A pesar de todo el tomo se disfruta y aunque clasicote, el dibujo de Aparo me gusta.

La muerte del segundo Robin, Jason Todd y la llegada de Tim Drake quién se convertiría por derecho propio en el tercer Chico Maravilla. Esta edición incluye ambas historias cosa que ayuda bastante al lector/coleccionista.
