2008. Riad Sattouf prépare son premier film, une comédie adolescente intitulée Les beaux gosses. Inspiré par Les 400 coups, il rêve de trouver son Antoine Doinel. Après un casting compliqué, il choisit finalement Vincent Lacoste, un collégien de 14 ans, comme premier rôle.
