En Legado todos los guiones están a cargo de Chuck Dixon, evitando ser lastrado como Contagio, y es interesante ver cómo se va desarrollando la historia, narrada de forma coral.Como sucediera en Contagio, Batman debe enfrentarse al Mortero, un filovirus variante del ébola y que Ras, con la colaboración de Bane, pretende propagar por todo el globo en pos de su ansiada eugenesia. Las intenciones de Bane, como no podía ser de otra manera, se centran más en el Cruzado, Talia y el poder.
