Plot

As the enclave of heroes begins to gather in the Northlands, there seems to be no lack of challenges. An army of nasties appears to be amassing even as the good guys search for some cohesion. Kevin Matchstick and his friends sit at the center of the growing group's activities, yet some would have it otherwise as the infighting continues to be a problem. In the aftermath of a particularly anxious encounter (a sighting of Sprigginflints), Kevin finds himself challenged by the powerful Dragonslayer. Through it all, the Pale Incanter tries to instill life into his ominous creation -- a golem! To top it all off, Kevin and the boys again encounter the witch, Isis Hunter, who claims to have come north for a covening with her two sisters -- one of whom Kevin has met before.
