Plot

Rosenheim remains under siege from Spinola’s mercenaries and Lorenzo’s withering pinpoint fire. Prince Heinrich leads the depleted garrison in a tenacious defense of the city walls, but with Issak still recovering from his wounds and unable to answer Lorenzo’s gunfire with his own, they are quickly getting whittled down. After another day of fighting exacts a heavy toll, the writing is on the wall—it is only a matter of time before the city falls, and they have hours, not days. If they are to have any hope of surviving their greatest trial yet, it will take every ounce of strength, courage and ingenuity that they have.
