Plot
Immortal Martian wizard Karmang plans to bring Superman's and Captain Marvel's Earths together in a giant cataclysm to produce enough energy to release his fellow Martians from their ghostly existence and end his torment for putting them in that state. With the help of Black Adam and the Quarrmer, Karmang sets Superman against Captain Marvel to keep the heroes distracted while he executes his plot.

En Marvel a Bucker le pedían que se pareciese a Kirby o Buscema y en DC a Neal Adams, o eso podemos inferir viendo este tebeo que copia mucho del estilo de Adams, no sólo anatómicamente si no también en distribución de viñetas y dramatización de las escenas. ¿Lo malo? Que Bucker no es, ni de lejos, muy lejos, Adams. El guión de Conway es farragoso, como suele ser él, pero entretenido. Eso sí, debería llamarse Mary Marvel meets Supergirl porque son las únicas que mueven la historia y Superman y Capitan Marvel se limitan a hostiarse a lo grande. Ni idea de dónde salió la idea de que a Mary Marvel se le alegrase el ombliguillo con Superman así de repente y 5 minutos antes de que dos mundos colisionen. A lo mejor no es el momento de calentar el horno. Para solucionarlo luego Supergirl finje que le pasa lo mismo con el Capitán Marvel para que Mary se dé cuenta de que no está bien liarse con señores mayores. A lo mejor era un problema social en su momento. ¿Edadismo?. No sé. Todo raro.
