Plot

An other-dimensional entity called "Neverwas" begins to unravel reality itself, starting with Washington D.C. The Justice League faces a threat they cannot punch or imprison: Neverwas exists by being "imagined," and its power grows the more they try to fight it. Superman, after being transported to a red sun dimension, discovers the only way to defeat it is to build a giant toy for him. He deduces that being has a childlike mind and needs a toy to be entertained. A psychological sci-fi story that marked the end of an era for the Justice League.
