Plot
The Human Torch is alone in New York, trying to survive in a city that hates and fears — well, mostly him specifically. Johnny ha estado trabajando en una tienda de incógnito, con bigote y pelo negro. Cuando sus compañeros están por ser despedidos, él va como Human Torch a encarar a su jefe, pero él sabe que no lo lastimará, así que lo golpea. Johnny decide atacarlo de una forma más inteligente, uniendo a sus trabajadores en su contra para que, mientras él lo distrae, encuentren documentos que delaten sus malos negocios. Finalmente recibe una llamada de Susan, para que se reúnan todos ya que hay un problema.

This book was extremely weak. Art is ok… which gave this a two star. This was an opportunity for the writer to make The Human Torch interesting… and it was a failure.

Tercer número con el grupo desbandado y ahora nos centramos en Johnny. Es quizá el más flojo de los tres, no sé si porque es muy difícil darle profundidad a Johnny o porque a North se le dan mejor los ambientes de ciencia ficción que los de lucha sindical. Aún así es entretenido, se nota que le importa el personaje y se agradece ese homenaje a uno de los primeros números de la etapa de John Byrne. 06/2025 relectura muy gustosa y confirmo lo dicho, aunque quizá la profundidad de Johnny es: ser superficial y ya eso lo hace interesante.
